High accuracy level controller gets Mcerts Class 1 24 July 2013

Siemens Sitrans LUT400 ultrasonic level controller has been certified with the Mcerts Class 1 performance standard, which includes testing for solar radiation for open channel flow measurement.

The instrument – which is aimed at industries that are required to measure discharge flow volumes – is claimed to offer world-leading accuracy, easy set-up and intuitive operation.

According to Siemens' Derek Moore, adding Mcerts certification adds to the case for its specification for water or wastewater monitoring and pumping, inventory management or and load-out applications.

"We understand that reducing operating costs is a key business target for plants and the Sitrans LUT400 helps achieve this by reducing energy usage and increasing operational efficiency," states Moore.

"It is a cost-effective, easy-to-configure and low maintenance solution, with in-built technology that is repeatable, fast and consistent."
