WM maintenance conference promises outstanding value 22 May 2013

Global manufacturers, including Heineken, PepsiCo and Siemens, have agreed to share their experiences in turning maintenance from a cost centre to a profit generating activity at the upcoming WM Maintenance Conference.

The conference – entitled Profit Through Effective Maintenance and being staged on 18 June 2013 at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon – promises to be the most valuable industrial maintenance event of the year, according to organiser Findlay Media.

Sponsored by the IPlantE (Institution of Plant Engineers) and BES (the Bureau of Engineer Surveyors) and supported by engineering specialist PEME, lean maintenance consultancy Sora, production equipment giant Siemens and manufacturing software firm Infor, the event is also set to cover strategic maintenance improvement.

Gestamp Tallent will be delivering that session, offering insights into how the industry's best have delivered cost savings, improved plant efficiency and increased uptime as well as production quality and profit through a different maintenance strategy.

The organisers make the point that this focused conference also offers opportunities for serious Q and A. They cite, for example, the technology panel, with a line-up of experts covering everything from CMMS to thermography, vibration monitoring, acoustic wave monitoring, oil analysis and direct electric motor monitoring.

Cost to attend is £195m with discounts for IPlantE and BES members.
