Storm tank cleaning system cuts costs, improves safety 05 July 2013

Spray nozzle specialist BETE claims to have developed a solution to the problems – particularly around health and safety – associated with the increasing frequency of manually cleaning storm tanks.

The firm has developed a an automated storm tank and screen cleaning system, dubbed HydroWhirl Storm blaster, which This system will be particularly appreciated can be configured to deliver high-impact cleaning to between 80º and 180º downward spray pattern.

This and the combination of its twin head, eight-nozzle design, results in powerful cleaning to storm tanks up to 20 metres in diameter, according to the company.

What's more, it claims a cleaning cycle of under 10 minutes.

There is also a four-nozzle variant that can clean tanks up to 30 metres in diameter, with cycle times of 15 minutes.
