National Fork Truck Safety Conference moves to Loughborough 14 May 2015

This year’s FLTA National Fork Truck Safety Conference will be held at Loughborough University on 23 September 2015.

Although the industry accepts that the causes of fork lift truck accidents never change, there is a tide of opinion – led by the Fork Lift Truck Association – that for anything to change, awareness, attitudes and company cultures also need to change.

That's why this year's event will focus on presentations sharing best practice – all aimed at reducing injuries, damage and death in workplaces of every size and in every industry sector.

The theme of this year's conference is '360 degree safety' – reflecting the holistic approach being driven by the FLTA via its online Safer Site Programme (www.fork-truck.org.uk/fork-lift-safety/safer-site-programme).

"This is a genuine peer-to-peer event designed to inform, inspire and motivate managers and supervisors in companies of every size and in every sector," states FLTA chief executive Peter Harvey.
