The right pump Making sure you have the right pump for your process needs

To help ensure optimum process efficiency and performance, SPX FLOW offers one of the widest range of process pump solutions in the marketplace.

From its Johnson Pump and Bran+Luebbe pump portfolios, cleverly designed pumps offer specific benefits to industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, water treatment, paint, power generation, pulp & paper and pharmaceutical. Advanced engineering facilities and expert personnel further ensure SPX FLOW provide the right solution for customers’ needs, covering everything from a standard pump to a complete pump package.

The Johnson Pump CombiSump and CombiSumpMag are vertical long shaft sump pumps designed for use with thin liquids. They have a large submersible depth and ensure increased reliability with highly effective silicon carbide axial and radial bearings, which are permanently lubricated by the pumped liquids. Both models are designed for low Net Positive Suction Head (NSPH) values with optimized hydraulic performance, meet a wide range of duties, and offer easy maintenance in compact form.

The CombiSumpMag provides leak-free operation, with hermetically closed magnetic couplings to assure a high level of containment and reliability in critical applications such as pumping condensate or cyanide-based chemicals as used in gold mining. For installation inside the storage tank or sump, standard models are available to meet ATEX Group II/Category 1, Zone 0, temperature class T4 below the baseplate. The pump is designed to increase site safety and significantly reduce installation in difficult applications.

The Johnson Pump TopGear MAG internal gear pump also offers leak-proof design with the ability to pump both low and high viscosity fluids. This makes the pump ideal for tank storage pumping duties, where a single pump can be utilized for the transfer of different fluids, again reducing installation costs and total cost of ownership.

From the SPX FLOW Bran+Luebbe portfolio, come innovative designs such as the Novaplex Vector and Novados pumps. The Novaplex Vector process pump has a triple diaphragm pump head and significantly reduces installation footprint by arranging the pump heads in three dimensions. Its patented design simplifies assembly and reduces the number of crankshaft bearings from six to two, increasing reliability and making maintenance exceptionally easy. Additionally, the double acting diaphragm pump head can be assembled to increase the installed power per m².

The Novados pump is a metering pump with the option to assemble several different pump heads designed from a piston pump head, diaphragm pump head or the double acting diaphragm pump head; ideal for applications such as methanol, polymer or glycol injection. Its innovative design uses a single double-acting head to provide the flowrate capacity of equivalent duplex pumps, but with a much smaller footprint, lighter weight and lower cost.

Overall it is the in-depth understanding of process needs, wide range of cutting-edge technology, and extensive experience in pump design that make SPX FLOW a partner of choice for all types of industrial pumping installations. A continuous program of development and the ability to customize to exact requirements ensure optimized solutions which offer high performance and reliability. Whatever the application, solutions are supported globally from initial design throughout a system’s lifetime by comprehensive engineering and aftermarket services.
