Kemira Chemicals cuts costs with condensate recovery system 10 March 2011

Kemira Chemicals UK is reporting considerable energy and cost savings since installing a CORsys condensate recovery system from ARI-Armaturen.

David Tuff, senior process engineer at Kemira's Bradford plant, which serves the pulp an paper, oil, mining, chemicals and pharmaceutical industries, explains that the firm needed an efficient system to return condensate back to the boiler feed tank on its industrial dryers.

"Since installing CORsys, we have noticed a considerable improvement in process efficiency, less production spoilage plus significant savings on running costs and energy usage," says Tuff.

"The system is easy to operate and maintain, and the added benefit of simplified operating procedures is that we don't need to retain a service company to maintain the new system – saving us even more time and money," he adds.
