IPAF takes awards for access equipment safety video and training 29 November 2010

IPAF (the International Powered Access Federation) has won two awards for its safety video and a training kit promoting best practice with powered access equipment.

IPAF's 'Spot the mistake' video won first prize as the best media in the DVD/CD category in the 'Health and Safety at Work' information contest held by the Italian health and safety authorities.

The contest called, dubbed Inform@zione, is organised every two years by the Italian national social insurance organisation INAIL, together with the regional health and safety authorities of Emilia Romagna and the municipality of Modena, during the Ambiente Lavoro convention in Italy.

'Spot the mistake' is available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish, and can be downloaded at the Publications/Film section of www.ipaf.org

Meanwhile, the ''Aerial Work Platform (AWP) Operator Training Support Kit', produced by IPAF through its North American subsidiary AWPT, won an LLEAP silver award in the category 'Aftermarket Support Products and Services'.

The OTS kit helps AWP users to develop an operator training programme that complies with regulations and standards, and meets requirements defined in the US-based industry document, Statement of Best Practices of General Training and Familiarisation for Aerial Work Platform Equipment.
