Beardow Adams sticks with Babcock Wanson heating 07 May 2014

Adhesives manufacturer Beardow Adams has expanded its Babcock Wanson thermal fluid heaters plant with a seventh unit at its site in Milton Keynes – now Europe's largest single hot melt adhesive site.

The plant, which manufactures adhesives for a wide range of industrial uses, has multiple production lines, each with its own controllable heat source, even where two lines are fed from the same thermal fluid heater.

Jeff Farey, Beardow Adams maintenance manager, explains that the heaters are fully automatic coil type, multi-pass units and provide optimal distribution of the heat, precisely matches fuel input to plant energy requirements for high efficiency.

"Babcock Wanson heaters have proved reliable throughout our company," states Farey, adding that the firm's engineering standards and service have contributed to the companies' long standing relationship.
