ADC Energy has secured a US land project to deliver rig inspection services for a major US operator’s fleet in the Permian Basin.

The significant contract, which is worth $300,000 (£225,000), is expected to take between four and six months and is scheduled to be completed before the end of March 2022. As part of the work scope, ADC Energy will provide its specialisedintegrated rig inspection services, including rig condition and dropped object inspections, to the operator's fleet, consisting of 20 drilling assets.

The company will identify non-conformances per industry and original equipment manufacturer standards such as American Petroleum Institute, while working closely with operators and drilling contractors to prioritise and address non-conformances.

ADC’s personnel in the Americas will provide ad hoc onsite support and act as the technical focal point for the duration of the rig contract.

Kit Trahan, VP Americas at ADC Energy said: “We are seeing an increase in land rig condition and dropped object inspections in the current US onshore market recovery. As the energy industry continues to focus on gaining greater efficiencies, our expertise is ideally placed to support E&P companies’ demands, ensuring assets continue to operate safer, cleaner, and more efficiently.”

Headquartered in Aberdeen, ADC Energy also has offices in Houston, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
