Sustainable biofuel 01 November 2009

Aston University in Birmingham is involved in a £3.4 million research project that promises to transform organic residues from existing biofuel production into a renewable, sustainable biofuel.

The goal, according to Aston's professor Tony Bridgwater, is to reduce reliance on fossil-bassed diesel imports and to get away from the 'fuel versus food' conflict by developing processes that require no dedicated agricultural land.
