Tata Steel extends EEMUA membership Europe-wide 06 March 2014

Tata Steel has extended its membership of EEMUA (Engineering Equipment & Materials Users' Association) from the UK strip-steel hub to include all of its manufacturing and related operations Europe-wide.

"Since joining the association, Tata Steel has been an active contributor to EEMUA's work programmes and we certainly welcome their closer involvement with the Association on an international level," comments EEMUA chief executive Clive Tayler (pictured).

"We are adopting a one-company approach, wherein all the businesses are also part of the same thought process and follow the same procedures, practices and standards," comments Kevin Peacock, Tata Steel Europe's Group Asset Integrity Engineer, explains about the development.

"EEMUA is very much a part of this approach," he says.

EEMUA is the international non-profit membership organisation that aims to improve the safety, environmental and operating performance of large industrial plants.
