RoSPA launches health and safety diploma courses in Scotland14 May 2013

RoSPA (the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) is to carry out training courses for the NEBOSH Diploma in Scotland for the first time.

The organisation – which is hosting three days and evenings of awards ceremonies alongside Safety and Health Expo starting today (14 May 2013), says that candidates aiming to further their career in health and safety can take part in courses in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

"The NEBOSH Diploma is a valuable asset to any professional," states Karen McDonnell, head of RoSPA Scotland. "RoSPA is delighted to launch courses with its expert tutors in Glasgow and Edinburgh, making our services more accessible to people in Scotland."

The NEBOSH Diploma course for Unit A starts in Glasgow in September, with Unit B covered in October and Unit C in November.

In Edinburgh, Unit A of the Diploma course gets underway in January 2014, with Unit B in February and Unit C in March.

A NEBOSH Diploma is the first step to becoming a chartered safety and health practitioner and includes four key areas of study: managing health and safety; hazardous agents in the workplace; workplace and work equipment; and application of health and safety theory and practice.
