Mobile centre of excellence at Buck & Hickman 20 March 2014

Industrial tools, maintenance, and health and safety distributor Buck & Hickman has launched what it describes as a mobile centre of excellence for its products and services.

Ian Ritchie, managing director of Buck & Hickman, says the vehicle will visit customer plants and factories, small and large, as well as Buck & Hickman's own nationwide branch network, to showcase its capabilities.

"The Mobile Centre of Excellence ... is an inspiring environment, allowing visitors to benefit from a truly hands-on experience of the combined offering of Buck & Hickman and our suppliers," states Ritchie.

"With the information and products physically in front of visitors' eyes, they can gain a better understanding of how we can help them to lower total acquisition costs, optimise production efficiency and reduce working capital," he adds.

The centre focuses on innovative products and solutions, and includes interactive demonstration rigs for hand and power tools and PPE (personal protective equipment).

Hands-on product displays and video demonstrations have been compiled from 25 of the company's supplier partners, including Polyco, Bosch and Honeywell.
