BPMA launches job seeker service30 January 2019

The British Pump Manufacturers' Association (BPMA) has launched a free service to help unemployed job seekers or anyone facing redundancy, who has a relevant engineering background and is looking for work within the pump sector or its associated trades.

The association says that many members have highlighted the difficulties they face in finding, recruiting and nurturing new talent. In response, it has launched the Pipeline Vacancy Board where members are encouraged to display any vacancies they may have.

Through the online service, the BPMA will help identify job seekers to companies that have vacancies specific to the pumps and pump systems-related industry.

Additionally, the BPMA is keen to work with ‘engineering’ universities in the UK to help place suitable students within UK pump companies.

No individual name or company will be identified on the website as vacancies will have a unique reference number that must be quoted on any application or CV request.

Any pump-related company with an appropriate engineering vacancy, or any candidate interested in promoting themselves via the service, are encouraged to contact BPMA’s Steve Smith via email on s.smith@bpma.org.uk.
