Babcock Wanson launches treatment service for coil boilers 13 November 2012

Steam generators manufacturer Babcock Wanson has introduced a water treatment service that includes a five-year corrosion warranty on the boiler coil.

Chris Horsley, managing director of Babcock Wanson UK, explains that the firm has established an exclusive relationship with water treatment specialist Deep Water Blue for its water treatment programmes.

Professional chemists ensure that the treatment and testing regime are appropriate to the plant, he says. Then, and between consultancy visits, the firm's vSteam web portal allows plant engineers to enter daily readings on-line and receive real-time feedback support.

"We have built our reputation on the quality of our steam generator design and our after-sales support," comments Horsley.

"We see first-hand the effects of poor water treatment and, more importantly, on our customers' ability to run their plant effectively," he continues.

"We will ensure the effective supply of suitably treated water to your Babcock Wanson boiler and, in the unlikely event the coil needs to be replaced due to corrosion within the first five years, we will supply and fit it without charge."
