APC announces £60 million funding for low carbon technologies18 May 2015

The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) has opened its latest grant funding competition, with up to £60 million available to develop innovative low carbon propulsion technologies.

The competition "APC4 Driving UK Capability and Economic Impact through Low Carbon Propulsion Technologies" is open to collaborative business-led projects that include a vehicle manufacturer or tier-1 supplier and SME partner. Plans must also include the development of the UK's supply chain in low carbon vehicle technologies.

Successful projects will focus on internal combustion engines, lightweight powertrain structures, electric machines and power electronics, energy storage and energy management and/or alternative propulsion systems.

Interested parties must register for the competition by 12:00 on Wednesday 24 June 2015, with the deadline for application submissions at 12:00 Wednesday 1 July 2015.
