Speedy extends reach with £1 million access plant 10 August 2010

Equipment rental and support services firm Speedy has invested another £1 million in a range of low-level access equipment from Youngman.

Andy Connor, supply chain director at Speedy, explains that the range includes equipment from Youngman's BoSS access towers, such as its modular aluminium Clima, fibreglass Zone 1 GRP and the new Cam-Lock advance guard rail (AGR).

Speedy, which runs 28 specialist access depots nationwide, now provides a free low-level access selection guide and Cam-Lock advance guard rail product guide, with assembly instructions, and offers training courses on working safely at height, as well as the new PASMA low-level access course.

"This is our second major investment into new low-level access equipment this year as we remain committed to maintaining the quality of our fleet," says Connor.

"Low-level access solutions are becoming increasingly popular, as they can be adapted to many different situations and they can also be a safer way of working than using ladders."
