Engineering inspection firm plans expansion28 January 2020

Engineering inspection business Thurra, which has operated from Rochdale for more than 25 years, has announced that it plans to move to new, custom-built premises in the heart of Rawtenstall, Lancashire.

Managing director Nick Dykins says that the company “continues to thrive” due to its “professional and friendly service”.

“Our commitment to supporting insurance brokers and trade clients has created steady growth, allowing us the opportunity to take this step in to larger, custom-built premises,” he says.

Construction at the site started last week and is being carried out by Barnfield Construction Group, with the Thurra team joining forces with its sister company Slingco.

The firm has also launched a new website that will look to provide information, news and advice for engineering inspections.

Tracey Dodd, business manager at Thurra, adds: “Thurra has always put technical knowledge and customer understanding first and it’s great to see this paying off. The team are looking forward to moving in to our new Rawtenstall HQ.”
